Essential Phone gets regular updates for improving the camera performance and functionality and now, the company has released another update covering camera features. The new camera update brings selfie flash, stability fixes, and a beta version of a ‘Tiny Planet’ mode.

Tiny Planet allows you to capture 360-degree photos and videos using  Essential 360 Camera accessory. The Essential Camera application allows for editing the Tiny Planet creations and users can share it on the social media platforms.

The other feature that comes with this update is selfie flash. It works by turning the screen bright white as the selfie is taken in order to illuminate the faces of the people in the picture.

Recently, reports suggest that the company could soon launch its Essential Phone Halo Gray variant in India, priced at Rs. 24,999 (approximately $388).

According to some rumors Xiaomi is already working on Mi Band 3. Here is a good news for Indian Xiaomi users, the Mi Band 2 is finally back in stock after a long time. In India, it was launched in September 2016. A year later, Xiaomi launched the Mi Band HRX Edition in India, priced at Rs.1,299.

To recall, The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 comes with a 0.42-inch OLED display, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, a 70mAh Lithium polymer battery has 20 days standby time and its IP67 rated. The straps are also replaceable and the Mi Band 2 works with Android devices running Android KitKat and up and iOS devices running iOS 7.0 and above.


Nokia 3 Start Receiving Android 8.0 Oreo Beta Update

HMD Global has launched Nokia 3 in February 2017. It was announced in last month that Nokia 3 will get Oreo update and now, HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas announces on twitter about this update rollout. The beta update would reach the Nokia 2 in the next few weeks.

Nokia 3 users can sign up for the beta on the company’s site to get access to the Android Oreo update preview. After registration users will get Android Oreo software update notification.

Android 8.0 Oreo update for Nokia 3 is around 1.6GB in size and it includes all core features such as Picture-in-Picture mode, Notification dots, Google Play Protect security scans, Autofill passwords, and Faster boot up. The update also brings the February Android security patch.

LG Patents shows that FullVision Full-Screen display and smaller edges trend will continue for a while in smartphone country. The South Korean company filed a patent on its own ‘full-screen display’.

The patent, with the (translated) name ‘display module for smartphone’ shows only the screen. The patent was filed in September last year and was published on Friday, February 23.

It is preparing to deliver the nation’s first 5G mobile network in selected U.S. markets in the first half of 2019. Customers in Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles will begin experiencing 5G-like capabilities later the Sprint will aggressively expand to additional markets including Atlanta, Houston, and Washington, D.C.

In 2018 and 2019 Sprint expects to establish thousands of Massive MIMO radios, significantly increasing its network capacity for millions of customers across the country.

The company promises to connect people, places and billions of things with blazing fast speed, ultra-reliable, low-latency wireless service. This breakthrough technology will enable new levels of innovation and progress including cloud robotics, telemedicine, connected cars, and drones, augmented and virtual reality and more.

All Sprint customers using a 2.5 GHz (band 41) device will benefit from the increased capacity and speed provided by Massive MIMO. In addition, Sprint is working with Qualcomm Technologies. The recently announced Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X50 5G modem supports 5G NR for Sprint’s 2.5 GHz (n41) spectrum band.

Lenovo released Teaser Older Motorola RAZR flip phone Coming back

Motorola RAZR is one of the popular phones from the company as it had sold 130 million units since its launch in 2004. The revamped edition of Motorola RAZR Flip Phone was not launched in 2016 so as the company had unveiled the Motorola Moto Z with modular capabilities.

HMD Global has also launched revamped edition of older phones like Nokia 3310 and Nokia 8110. Now Lenovo is also planning for RAZR.

In May 2016, Lenovo had released a teaser(watch the teaser below) that suggested that it will be bringing back the older Motorola RAZR flip phone but It did not happen. During a press meet at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing hinted that the company may relaunch the RAZR phone with foldable design.

When Yuanqing was asked whether the company would be reviving the Motorola RAZR, he responded by saying, “With the new technology, particularly foldable screens, I think you will see more and more innovation on our smartphone design. So hopefully what you just described (referring to the Moto RAZR brand) will be developed or realized very soon.”

When he was specifically asked whether he was talking about the Motorola RAZR, he said, “I think I have already answered the question.”

Motorola is expected to soon debut the Moto G6 and G6 Plus smartphones. It is also rumored to release Moto Z3, Z3 Play, and Z3 Plus in summer year. The company will be also releasing Moto X5 this year.

ASUS ZenFone Max (M1) Know Price, Specifications and Features

Apart from ZenFone 5Z flagship, ZenFone 5 mid-range and ZenFone 5 Lite (5Q) smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, Asus also unveiled the ZenFone Max (M1) a budget smartphone.

Specifications and Features

The ZenFone Max(M1) is a smaller edition of the ZenFone Max Plus (M1). It comes with with a 5.5-inch HD+ 720 x 1440 pixels with the aspect ratio of 18:9 display. It has 83 percent of screen-to-body ratio display and 2.5D curved glass.

The ZenFone Max (M1) comes in two chipset variants first one is Snapdragon 425 chipset and another one is Snapdragon 430 chipset. Both smartphones are packed with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt storage. For additional storage, it features a microSD card slot.

The ZenFone Max(M1) has dual rear camera setup. It includes a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and the secondary sensor is of 8-megapixel that offers the 120-degree field of view. For selfie, it has an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.

It is loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo that is customized with ZenUI 5.0 and fueled by 4,000mAh battery. The connectivity features available on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS.

The ZenFone Max(M1) comes with different color variants include Deepsea Black, Sunlight Gold, and Ruby Red. There is no information available on the pricing and availability of the ZenFone Max (M1) smartphone.
