Android Oreo For Huawei P10 and P10 Plus Now Available

Huawei posted a short video on facebook about the new Oreo Update for Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus. The video confirms the long-awaited update is now available to download.The update is recently available in the Philippines but the update will be gradually expended for other countries and it will reach every part of the world soon.

The update brings customized Android with EMUI 8.0 comes via OTA means you will get a notification on the status bar of the phone and then you can start downloading.


Honor Play 7C Launched Honor Play 7C Specifications, Pricing and Availability

The Honor Play 7C is launched in China and this phone has some interesting features. It is just a surprise from the company. The smartphone features a Full-screen design display, facial recognition and some interesting features for the front camera.

Let’s take a look at the specifications of the smartphone-
The Honor Play 7C comes with a large 5.99-inch display which supports FHD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by an unknown 14nm Octa-core chipset clocked at 1.8GHz, with integrated Adreno 506 GPU.

The unknown chipset may be the Huawei’s Hisilicon chipsets for the midrange devices. Or may pack with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 midrange processor which is built on the 14nm silicon and supports FHD+ displays. The chipset is clocked at 1.8GHz maximum and integrates an Adreno 506 GPU. The device comes with 3GB RAM and a 4GB RAM version.

The 4GB RAM version is a standard version. The 3GB RAM version comes with 32GB of storage while the 4GB RAM model pack with 64GB of storage. Both devices support external microSD Card and memory is expandable up to 256GB.

The Play Honor Play 7C is a dual SIM smartphone and has the SIM card tray located on the left side of the display. But it has an independent microSD slot and SIM Slots.

The midrange Honor Play 7C features dual rear camera setup. the camera is located on the top left corner and is aligned horizontally with an LED flash. The rear camera setup is a combination of 13MP + 20MP. The second camera features bokeh shots. At the front, the Honor Play 7C features an 8MP selfie shooter. The display acts as a smart soft light which illuminates when selfies are to be taken. The brightness of the light is determined by the level of illumination of the environment.

The Honor Play 7C runs on the latest EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo OS. The device is also packed with a 3000mAh battery.

Pricing and Availability-

The standard version of the device which has 3GB RAM+ 32GB storage is priced at just 899 Yuan (~$142). On the other hand, the higher version which has 4GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at 1,299 Yuan (~$205). The device will go on sale at 10 AM on March 13 via Huawei Mall, Jingdong, Tmall, Suning, Gome, and Weipin. There’s no information that when the device will roll out globally.

Huawei’s Kirin 670 with Integrated AI and Neural Processing Unit (NPU)

There is no doubt that Huawei has focused on using of Kirin processors for their smartphones. There is a rumor that the Honor 7X, Nova 3 and even the Honor Note 9 all are yet-to-be-announce on Hisilicon Kirin 670 chipset.

According to the source, the Kirin 670 is coming with an integrated AI architecture with its own Neural Processing Unit (NPU). The new Kirin 670 chip comes with AI and it is for its midrange models. In addition, the midrange chipset is also said to have a CPU design housing two Cortex-A72 cores and four Cortex A-53 cores which is the same with the Kirin 950.

The Kirin 670 chipset will be built on a 12nm TSMC FinFet process and it will be integrated with the ARM Mali-G72 MP12 GPU.

The company officially teased on Weibo, the Honor Play 7C will be officially announced on March 12. The post contains an image looks very interesting. the image contains several objects in a smartphone-shaped arrangement that suggest several important features of the phones.

The camera and lens at the bottom suggest this phone will have a pretty innovative camera. The handset will come with 4 cameras set up, two on front and two on back.

A mask in the image suggests that Honor Play 7C will support facial recognition and enhanced beauty mode for selfie lovers. The phone will feature a display of 5.99 inches with an 18:9 aspect ratio and narrow bezels. The two SIM Cards and micro SD card slots are placed on the top of the image.

The image also suggests that the phone will have a dual SIM dual standby slot and a dedicated micro SD dedicated slot. Honor Play 7C was officially certified by TENAA in three variants with the model numbers LND-AL30, LND-AL40, and LND-TL30, a month ago.

This year, Huawei will make a huge change in the naming of its top flagships. Its upcoming P-series flagship should be called the P11 but it will launch as the Huawei P20. The same thing is happening with the Mate series as well.

A new leak revealed that the Mate series will also be getting a name change. The leak comes from Microblogging users @lumisky. According to him, the next Mate phone will be called the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro and not Mate 11 and Mate 11 Pro.

The Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will come with the new Kirin 980 SoC. The Mate 20 will have a 5.9” 2K display while the Pro version will come with a 6” 1080p display. Both will pack with 4GB/6GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB of storage but the Mate 20 Pro will have an additional 6GB RAM + 256GB version too which may be the Porsche Edition variant. The phone will also feature an 8MP of front camera and a 12MP+20MP of dual rear camera setup.

According to report the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will be priced at ¥3899 for the 4GB version and ¥4499 for the 6GB RAM. The Mate 20 Pro will more expensive at price ¥4899 for the 4GB model, and ¥5399 for the 6GB+128GB model, and ¥8999 for the 6GB+256GB version. Both phones will launch in October 2018.

Huawei Nova 2 Lite

The Nova 2 Lite will arrive this month with a 5.6” 1080p display. It will be the first phone to come with Huawei’s new Kirin 670 chip. There will be 4GB+64GB and 6GB+64GB variants with a ¥1999 and ¥2299 respectively.

Huawei Nova 3 and Nova 3S

The Nova 3 come with a 6” 1080p display, a kirin 960 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB/128GB storage.

It will come with quad cameras – two on both sides but the image provided only shows the secondary front camera of 2MP while the rear cameras are a 16MP and 20MP combo. These are Priced at ¥2699 for the 4GB model, ¥2999 for the 6GB+64GB model, and ¥3399 for the 6GB+128GB model.

Huawei will release the Nova 3S at the end of this year and it will pack nearly the same as Nova 3 but for the display, it has a 1200p resolution and the chipset which is the Kirin 970. Price will be the same as the Nova 3.

Enjoy 8, Enjoy 8 Plus, and Enjoy 8S

The Enjoy 8 Plus will be the first phone in this series to arrive in April. It will come with a 6” display, Kirin 670 and up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. A single 8MP camera setup at the front while a 13MP+2MP combo is on the rear. It will be priced at ¥1499 to ¥1999.

The Enjoy 8 will come after Enjoy 8 Plus in July with a 5.5” 720 display, the Kirin 670, 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage. It will have an 8MP front camera and a 12MP on the back. The 2GB model will be priced at ¥899 and the 3GB variant will be at a ¥1099 price tag.

The Enjoy 8S will be launched at the end of the year with a 5.7” 1080p display, the Kirin 670. The memory configuration is the same as the Enjoy 8 Plus. It also has the same camera configuration but throws in a second 2MP sensor for the rear. The price will be same as the Enjoy 8 Plus.

Honor 10 and Honor 10 Lite

The Honor 10 will arrive in June with a 5.7” 1080p display, the kirin 970 is paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM and comes in 64GB and 128GB variants. It will have camera setup of an 8MP for the selfie and a 12MP+20MP of dual rear cameras. The 4GB model will be priced at a ¥2299 price tag, the 6GB+64GB model will price at ¥2699, and the 6GB+128GB will at ¥2999.

The Honor 10 Lite may come at the end of the year with the same display as Honor 10 but it will be powered by the Kirin 670. It will come with 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants and feature dual rear cameras setup on both sides. The price will start at ¥1299, ¥1599, and ¥1899 for all three variants.

Honor V10 Play and Honor V11

The Honor V11 will arrive in November with a 6” 2K display, a Kirin 970, and up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will have dual 12MP rear cameras and a single 8MP selfie camera. The 4GB variant will be priced at ¥2799, the 6GB+64GB will be priced at ¥3299, and the 6GB+128GB will have a ¥3699 price tag.

The V10 which is basically the same as V11, it will arrive 6 months earlier from the launch date of V11. The price is almost same.


Huawei Confirms P20 and P20 Pro through Billboard Ad

Huawei has already confirmed that Huawei P20 is ready for show off. Earlier this week Huawei released a teaser of the P20. The company has mainly focused on the camera of this flagship series.

The rumors suggest that the advance edition of the P20 series will feature triple camera setup and may launch with P20 Plus or P20 Pro moniker. Yesterday, Android Central Executive Editor had shared an image of a billboard in Barcelona(the home city of MWC 2018). The billboard reveals that the Huawei will be launching P20 and P20 Pro smartphones on March 27.

According to Google Translate, the Spanish text on billboard suggests “The rebirth of photography is approaching” through P20 and P20 Pro. The letter “IA” highlighted twice on the board. According to Google “IA” stands for Inteligencia Artificial. It indicates that the P20 and P20 Plus will deliver redefined photography experience through AI.

Huawei P20 Huawei P20 and P20 Pro will come with Kirin 970 chipset. There is also a dedicated NPU unit will be for handling artificial intelligence tasks.
