Along with the Redmi 4, Xiaomi also launched the Mi Router 3C in India. This is the company’s first networking product to be launched in India.

Specifications :

The Mi Router 3C is a 2×2 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n router with a combined up/down transfer speed of 300Mbps. It has 16MB flash storage for firmware updates and 64MB DDR2 memory, which Xiaomi claims is 8x what most budget routers have. It uses a four copper+PCB antenna system. On the back are 2x 10/100Mbps LAN ports and 1x 10/100Mbps WAN port. It has the 80m range and supports 64 connected devices.

Perhaps the best part is the Mi Wi-Fi app, which is available for both Android and iOS. The app makes it easy to setup the router even for novice users and also makes all its features more accessible, something most routers struggle with thanks to their complicated UI. The app also includes features such as real-time monitoring, parental controls, guest sharing, and Wi-Fi boost.

The new flagship smartphone and its ceramic variant are initially exclusive to the China market, similar to their predecessors, the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi 4. The company hasn’t yet announced India launch plans for the new Mi flagship.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is very similar to the Mi 5 in terms of shape and size. The new flagship, however, looks more refined and premium with four-sided curved glass on four sides, and a frame made of stainless steel. At the China launch, Xiaomi claimed that the stainless-steel enclosure is resistant to wear and tear.

At 7.5mm, the Mi 6 is marginally thicker than its predecessor which measured 7.3mm. Also, the weight of 168 grams makes this phone quite a bit heavier than the Mi 5 which weighed 129 grams. The Mi 6 was launched in black, white and blue, and we got a black unit version to try out.

Specifications

A 5.15-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. It looks bright and crisp, with good viewing angles, no 3.5mm headphones socket, and this means that users can expect a USB-Type C to 3.5mm adaptor shipping in the retail box. The speakers are located on either side of the USB Type-C port on the bottom. The power and volume buttons are on the right, while the SIM card tray is on the left.

This device has dual rear 12-megapixel cameras, a setup similar to that of the iPhone 7 Plus. One has a wide-angle lens and the other has a telephoto lens for lossless 2x zoom. The company claims that its binocular stereoscopic vision imaging and depth learning algorithms make edge recognition more accurate in photos. The rear cameras also feature phase-detection autofocus, and four-axis anti-shake functionality for blur reduction. The mi 6 also packs an 8-megapixel front camera with 1080p video recording capability.

The Mi 6 runs MIUI 8 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The interface looked cleaner than before, and there were several Nougat features such as split-screen multitasking. The Mi 6 ships with a Smart Assistant feature that is customisable.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 packs the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.4GHz, coupled with 6GB of RAM.

The Mi 6 has been launched in 64GB and 128GB storage options. Storage isn’t expandable. The dual-SIM phone supports VoLTE, and both SIMs support LTE.
