Manu Kumar Jain confirms that the Xiaomi Redmi 6 series smartphones will include Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro. Now the Xiaomi 6 series smartphones have been launched in India. The new Xiaomi 6 series smartphones come to India with a tagline of “Desh Ke Naye Smartphones”. The Xiaomi Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro was first launched in China in June this year. The Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 came together in the Chinese market but the Redmi 6 Pro came alone later that month.

A launch event of Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6 Pro in the India market. The Redmi 6A will be available in India at price Rs. 5,999 for the 2GB RAM RAM/ 16GB internal storage model. While the 2GB RAM/ 32GB storage model costs at Rs. 6,999 in India. The Xiaomi Redmi 6A will be available for purchase for the first time on September 19 through Amazon India and Mi.com. This introductory pricing will hold only for 2 months, then after it could increase if the rupee freefall continues against the dollar. It comes in Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue hues.

On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi 6 prices in India at Rs. 7,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB onboard storage variant. While the 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage model will be available at Rs. 9,499. However, the handset will be sold starting September 10 via Flipkart and Mi.com. These prices are introductory and will hold only for two months and then after we may see increment as like Redmi 6A. Like the Redmi 6A, this model comes in Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue color options.

At last the Redmi 6 Pro comes in India at price Rs. 10,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage model. While the price for 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant sets at Rs. 12,999. The Redmi 6 Pro will be available for purchase via Amazon India and Mi.com starting September 11. The launch offer includes Rs. 500 discount for HDFC Bank credit or debit cards holder if the use their card while buying the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro models. The Redmi 6 Pro will we available in Red, Black, Gold, and Blue color options.

The Redmi 6A features a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. There’s a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. The phone has a dedicated slot for external microSD card up to 256GB. The company claims the SoC 39% faster than Redmi 5A.

It is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone runs MIUI 9.6 on top, Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. There is a 3,000mAh battery, the company claims it will deliver up to 40 percent more power.

For connectivity options it includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5 headphone jack. Sensors onboard it has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, an electronic compass, and a proximity sensor.

In terms of photography, the Redmi 6A offers a single 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with PDAF and f/2.2 aperture. There is also a 5MP camera sensor on the front for selfies and video calling.

Sensors onboard the handset includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, infrared, and proximity sensor.

For photography, there’s a dual rear camera setup of a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Camera sensors are coupled with f/2.2 aperture, 1.25-micron pixels, and Portrait Mode. while on the front, it has a 5MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.12-micron pixels. The front camera sensor also has certain AI beautification capabilities.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro specifications

Redmi 6 Pro features a 5.84-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It features a display notch with the option to hide the notch. since it is the most premium smartphone out of the three Redmi phones launched in India today, it offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, paired with an Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB/ 4GB of RAM, and 32GB/ 64GB of internal storage.

It runs MIUI 9.6 based on top of Android Oreo and packs a 4,000mAh battery. For connectivity options, the handset includes 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard there’s an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, infrared, and a proximity sensor.

Coming to the camera department, the Redmi 6 Pro offers a dual rear camera setup of a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. Rear camera sensors are paired with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, 1.25-micron pixels, and LED flash. While on the front there’s a 5MP front camera sensor for selfies and other purposes.

LG Q Stylus Plus a midrange smartphone has been launched in India. Initially, LG has unveiled three smartphones LG Q Stylus, LG Q Stylus+, and LG Q Stylus A (aka LG Q Stylus Alpha) but only one comes to India. The LG Q Stylus Plus comes with a stylus. Since the LG Q Stylus Plus comes with a stylus that the company claims, adds “more convenience and functionality beyond the typical keyboard experience.” LG also says the Q Stylus Plus can recognize and record handwritten notes, even when the display is off. Furthermore, the handset’s stylus can also be used to personalise captured images and videos to create animated GIFs. The handset also features DTS:X for up to 7.1-channel 3D surround sound when listening with earphones.

Xiaomi has released the new Red variant of Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. The Redmi Note 5 Pro was previously only available in four color options — Black, Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold. So now the smartphone is available in total five color options.

Redmi Note 5 Pro red color variant smartphone is available in India at price Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM model. Meanwhile, the 6GB RAM, 64GB storage variant costs Rs. 16,999.

Global VP and India Head of Xiaomi, Manu Kumar Jain, on Tuesday announced the launch of the latest variant on Twitter. He confirmed that the handset will go on sale on Tuesday via Mi.com. He also added that the phone is “coming soon” to Flipkart as well. Interested buyers can now purchase the Redmi Note 5 Pro red color variant via company’s official online store.

Xiaomi Mi Wireless Charger with Temperature Protection Launched

Xiaomi has launched its new Mi Wireless Charger (Universal Fast Charge Edition). It has support for fast charging up to 10W. The Xiaomi Mi wireless charger is based on generally accepted Qi standard. It comes with a bunch of protective features such as temperature protection, short circuit protection, power protection, and over-voltage protection.

The Xiaomi Mi Wireless Charger has a USB Type-C interface and temperature limit is up to 40º Celsius. It also comes bundled with a USB Type-C to USB cable.

The Xiaomi Mi Wireless Charger (Universal Fast Charge Edition) is currently available in China at price CNY 69 (~Rs. 716). Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the details about the price and availability in other regions including India.

The Xiaomi Mi Wireless Charger is built with an aluminum alloy and housing a Silicon layer on top. It comes as a universal device for all Qi standard-based devices as I mentioned earlier. The Wireless charger has an LED indicator for charging status of the device at a glance. Also, it offers wireless charging at a distance of up to 4mm. Means users can charge their smartphone without removing its case.
