Motorola XT1789 With 3GB RAM Appears on Geekbench

Motorola XT1789 With 3GB RAM Appears on Geekbench

A new Motorola device just appeared on GFXBench. The Motorola XT1789 has unusual specs that do not correspond to any of the upcoming Motorola phones.

It is not the Moto G5S because that is supposed to have a 5.2-inch display. Neither is it the G5S Plus as that will launch with a 5.5-inch screen. The camera configuration also differs from that of the Moto X4. So what device is this?

The Motorola XT1789 has a 5.0-inch FHD display. There is 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and an octa-core processor. The processor is clocked at 2.2GHz and is paired with an Adreno 508 GPU. This is either the Snapdragon 630 or Snapdragon 660.

For optics, the Motorola XT1789 has a 12MP rear camera that can record in 4K. The front camera is a 16MP sensor which is an unusual pixel count on a Motorola phone. The XT1789 runs Android 7.1.1 and has NFC too.

IFA Berlin 2017: Lenovo Schedules August 31 For Keynote Event

IFA Berlin 2017: Lenovo Schedules August 31 For Keynote Event

Lenovo has announced that its IFA 2017 keynote will hold on the 31st of August. IFA Berlin actually starts on the 1st of September and runs through to 6th but. it is not unusual to see manufacturers hold their product launches a day or two before it commences.

It is unclear what Lenovo will be announcing at the event but there are rumors of new products under the Yoga line. There is no information about any mobile phone for now but there is a chance some newly announced models will be on display. But we expect to see some new Moto Mods too.

Some also say we may get new Lenovo branded phones. Although the Chinese giant keeps saying that it isn’t ditching Lenovo Mobile in favor of Motorola or Moto, recent activities have proved otherwise.

Motorola already has an event scheduled for July 25 and has started sending out press invites. The event will hold in New York and the bet is that it is for the Moto Z2 Force.

Apart from the Moto Z2, there is the Moto X4 and the Moto G5S and G5S Plus. Any or all three of these devices may launch alongside the Moto Z2 or be announced separately.
