Xiaomi Mi 6 Will be Available In Four Colors From Tomorrow
Xiaomi Mi 6 was introduced in China on April 19 and the company had confirmed that it would be coming four colors. Few weeks after its launch, its Ceramic Edition was made available briefly. The other color variants of the Mi 6 would be going on sale tomorrow in the home country of China.
The four colors like Bright Black, Bright White, Bright Blue and Ceramic Black of the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be available for buying from July 18. These models will be priced at 2,499 Yuan (~$369). Xiaomi has not given any information on the number of units of each color variants of Mi 6 that will be available for buying tomorrow.
Xiaomi Mi 6 is one of the best-selling flagship phones of 2017. It will be the first smartphone to get the MIUI 9 update. A few days ago, a special edition of the phone called Xiaomi Mi 6 Jackie Chan Limited Edition with an autograph of the actor was introduced.
Xiaomi Mi 6 is available with a screen size of 5.15 inches that supports full HD resolution. It is fueled by Snapdragon 835 and 6 GB of RAM. It comes in storage models like 64 GB and 128 GB. It has a 12-megapixel dual rear camera system and an 8-megapixel frontal camera. The 3,350mAh battery is enabled with Quick Charge 3.0 support

MIUI 9 Screenshots Leaked Shows Split-Screen
We have seen a lot of rumors and leaks of the upcoming major update to the Xiaomi’s custom MIUI. The new version called MIUI 9 has been in development for nearly a year and is rumored to launch next month. Today, we have some screenshots courtesy of Androidhits that reveals some additional details about MIUI 9. The image shows a screenshot of the about section of the phone.
It shows MIUI 18.104.22.168 and not MIUI 9. The version number is the alpha build of MIUI 9. The “About Phone” section now wears a new look. The specification details such as the screen size, resolution, battery capacity and CPU have been given icons.
The below image is a screenshot of the recent apps menu. The main addition there is the split-screen icon at the top left corner. Split-screen multitasking is now a default in Android Nougat but Xiaomi has added it to MIUI 9. Reports say it will be available to devices running Marshmallow that get the MIUI 9 update.
Split-screen multi-tasking allows you to run two apps simultaneously. It is better appreciated if you use a large screen device.
MIUI 9 is expected to launch before August 19 and debut on the Mi 6.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is a dual camera flagship powered by the Snapdragon 853. It has a 5.15-inch full HD display, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Xiaomi has settled for a dual rear camera configuration akin to that of the iPhone 7 Plus.
The main sensor is a 12MP 1.25μm wide-angle sensor with a f/1.8 aperture, 4-axis OIS, and 6P lens and the second sensor is another 12MP 1.0μm telephoto lens with a f/2.6 aperture, PDAF and a focus range of 52mm which lets you take portrait mode images.
For the selfie camera, Xiaomi has put an 8MP camera that records 1080p videos at 30fps. The Mi 6 has a 3350mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The Mi 6 doesn’t have an audio jack but works with USB Type-C headphones. The device is also splash resistant.

The Mi Max 2 is for those who enjoy the extra screen estate of a tablet but still want a phone. It has a 6.44-inch 1080p display. There is a Snapdragon 625 paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. You shouldn’t worry about battery life as the combination of the 5300mAh non-removable battery and the power-efficient SD625 should get you through a whole day at most.
The Mi Max 2 also packs an impressive Sony IMX386 sensor on the rear and a 5MP front facing camera. There is 9V/2A fast charging to help refill the large battery as fast as possible.

There are many smartphones in rumor who will come this year with a under-display fingerprint scanner. Now a rumor suggests that Xiaomi Mi 6 has an ultrasonic scanner.
A new video posted on LeTV shows a Xiaomi Mi 6 that is unlocked via fingerprint by simply pressing on the display. Now that is weird considering that the Mi 6 has its scanner under the glass below the display. So how does this user unlock the phone using the fingerprint scanner and pressing on the display instead of swiping the scanner at the bottom?
The only logical explanation is that he modified the “hold down/press to unlock phone” message on the phone and replaced the message with a fingerprint icon.
Xiaomi Mi 6 Ceramic Version Ready For Sale
Xiaomi, most awaited smartphone Xiaomi Mi 6 is now set to go up on its first sales in China as per previous information. Xiaomi disclosed this via a Weibo post. The premium flagship will be on sale as from 10 AM on May 23, which is tomorrow. The Mi 6 Ceramic edition will be sold exclusively on Xiaomi Mall, unlike the standard version which sold simultaneously on Jingdong, Lynx, Tesco and others as well.
The device has an 18K gold-plated camera ring. The Xiaomi Mi 6 packs the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.4GHz, coupled with 6GB of RAM.
Despite the premium build and well-studded hardware, the Mi 6 ceramic version is priced at 2999 Yuan (~$435)(roughly Rs.29000).
