Android Oreo Update For Sony Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus

The Sony Xperia R1 and [amazon_textlink asin=’B076HYJT12′ text=’Xperia R1 Plus’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’amit02f-21′ marketplace=’IN’ link_id=’10416ffb-25cc-11e8-ad06-d5fa91eae80d’] were launched in India last year. Both are the mid-range smartphone. These devices run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. Now, company has released Android Oreo update for R1 and R1 plus.

The Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Xperia R1 and the Xperia R1 Plus brings some new features like reminders for unfinished tasks such as emails in drafts and messages. It also brings a new feature called Xperia Actions which intelligently suggests actions based on user’s usage with all new games and community features. This update also brings contextual menus for app shortcuts which on long pressing will show more options.

The new update also includes Android Oreo features such as Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode, Notification dots, Smart Autofill, redesigned Quick Settings menu, faster boot time, and other bug fixes and system improvements, with a new Android security patch.

After installing this new oreo update some users are reporting bugs-Wi-fi SSID connection and some third-party app crashes, unable to upload/download media from WhatsApp, Google Play Store showing notice of it being uncertified. Hope the company will take a look at this bugs quickly and will provide solutions via update.
