After lots of rumors about iPhone 2018 model, Apple has officially sent out media invites for a launch event. The launch event is scheduled at the Steve Jobs Theater at its Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California on September 12.
The media invite doesn’t include a product info. The invitation-only features a Gold ring that evokes the design of the main building at Apple Park, against a stark black background. While Apple hasn’t shared any details about what product will be unveiled during the event, it is expected to showcase the 2018 iPhone lineup in all its glory.
Rumors suggest that Apple may introduce three new iPhone models at the event. The new models could be an iPhone X successor with a 5.8-inch OLED display, iPhone X Plus with a 6.5-inch OLED panel, and a 6.1-inch iPhone with an LCD screen. The iPhone with LCD screen will be the most affordable model in the new lineup. However, all new three models will keep the iPhone X’s notch design and edge-to-edge display.
The new iPhone 2018 model with a 65-inch display will be the higher variant, making it the largest iPhone to date. In terms of software, the iPhone X Plus will have the ability to view content side-by-side in apps like Mail and Calendar.
While on the other hand the 5.8-inch model is reportedly codenamed as D32. This model will come with an upgraded processor and camera departments.
Apple may also introduce the most affordable iPhone in the 2018 lineup. Rumors suggest it is codenamed as N84 and will look like original iPhone X but will be available in multiple colours. The N84 is rumoured to feature a 6.1-inch LCD screen instead of OLED.
All three models will feature Face ID and the gesture-based navigation that is available in iPhone X.
