BlackBerry is the only brand who has guts to release a smartphone with the physical keyboard in this competitive smartphone market. Otherwise, a smartphone with the physical keyboard totally disappeared. Every smartphone manufacturers are busy with the big touchscreen displays but BlackBerry is still releasing devices with physical QWERTY keyboards. Now the company has confirmed BlackBerry KEY2 LE launching at IFA 2018.
Today, BlackBerry Mobile’s official Twitter account announces the launch date of the BlackBerry KEY2 LE. The teaser video confirms that the handset will officially launch at IFA 2018, on August 30.
BlackBerry KEY2 LE expected specifications
BlackBerry KEY2 LE is a sibling of BlackBerry KEY2. So as like its older sibling, it’ll also feature a physical QWERTY keyboard with a fingerprint reader under the spacebar. The smartphone may feature a 4.5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1620 pixels) display.
On the hardware side, an octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC running at a max clock frequency of 1.8 GHz will be powering the device. It may come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, there’ll a dual rear camera setup of 13MP + 5MP, while on the front a 5MP snapper. The phone will pack a 3000mAh battery.
