Google Home Home Mini Comes India April 2018

The search engine giant Google all sets to launch it’s smart speakers Google Home and Home Mini in India market this month. The report, according to communication shared by Redington India with its retail partners, Google Home and Home Mini will be officially launch in country in April 2018. The devices comes after Amazon’s smart speakers —Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Plus – in India. Amazon’s smart speakers works with Alexa voice assistant, was launched in India in October 2017.

The Google Home and Home mini will definitely take advantages over Amazon smart speakers because Alexa can’t understand or speak Hindi. So, there will be a big battle between Google and Amazon. There is also an issue for Google Home, the Google’s virtual assistant is not perfect in Hindi. The vocal commands to interact with services like Saavn ana Gaana are still not available.

The differences between Google Home and Home Mini are the audio quality and size. The features are exactly same. The Google Home was launched in 2016, as a hub for the connected home.

The device, apart from playing music on request, also help users in managing tasks around their house and also answer queries using search engine. The Google Home has interchangeable bases that come in a plethora of colours.

The price of this accessories for Indian market is still unknown. The Google Home and Home Mini is priced at $129 (roughly Rs. 8,400) and $49 (roughly Rs. 3,200) respectively in US.
