LG G7 ThinQ G7 Plus ThinQ Specifications Price Availability
South Korean Tech Giant LG has launched its new flagship LG G7 ThinQ and LG G7 Plus ThinQ with some new features, and new design including a notched display at an event held in New York. If we talk about the design of the LG G7 ThinQ, It comes with a notch display but also the phone keeps a bit of bezel at the top. The dual camera arrangement is vertical with the LED flash and laser focus module on the right of the camera arrangement. LG also decided to keep fingerprint on the rear of the smartphone.
To quick access Google Assistant, now LG also introduced a new dedicated button on the left side of the phone including volume buttons while the power button is placed on the right side of the phone.
LG G7 ThinQ, LG G7+ ThinQ Specifications
The LG G7 ThinQ comes with a 6.1-inch QHD+ supported 1440×3120 pixels FullView Super Bright display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The flagship also comes with a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. There is no difference between LG G7 Thinq and LG G7+ ThinQ except its RAM and Storage configurations — the SoC for LG G7 ThinQ is coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage whereas for LG G7+ ThinQ it is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The phone memory for both phones is expandable via microSD card up to 2TB.
The LG G7 ThinQ introduces a dual rear camera setup of a 16-megapixel as a primary Super Wide Angle sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 107° wide-angle lens, and another 16-megapixel as a secondary sensor with f/1.6 aperture and a 71-degree lens. The cameras now have AI features. Its scene recognition feature can detect the object if you are taking the picture of a person, landscape, pet, and more. There is also an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/1.9 aperture and 80-degree lens on the front for the selfie and other purposes. The front-facing camera includes portrait mode.
For the better audio experience, the LG G7 ThinQ features 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and a Boombox Speaker with an extra boost of bass. There is also DTS Audio for cinema-like audio (7.1-Channel audio to be exact). To enjoy this feature you’ll need a wired earphone or a speaker.
For connectivity features the phone includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 BLE, USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible), NFC, FM Radio, and GPS, the 3.5mm headphone jack. Apart from fingerprint scanner it also comes with face recognition sensor.
The LG G7 ThinQ has IP68-rating certification. The phone runs on Android Oreo and packs a 3,000mAh battery with support for wireless charging.
LG G7 ThinQ Availability and Price
LG G7 ThinQ will initially arrive in South Korea, followed by availability in major markets in Asia, North America, Europe, and Latin America in the coming days. The G7 ThinQ will be available in New Platinum Grey, New Aurora Black, New Moroccan Blue, and Raspberry Rose color variants.
LG has not officially announced the price yet but it is expected to be available for sells in Europe at price €849 (∼$1017, Rs 67,999).
