After a long time as compare to other Manufacturer, Meizu has launched its new Midrange smartphone, Meizu E3. The reservations of the Meizu E3 has already started in China on various platforms like Meizu’s online store, TMall, JD, and Suning.
The company is also giving goodies to some buyers of the Meizu E3 who find out something hidden in the game will be provided with an exclusive gift package of “Wilderness Action” game goodies when they purchase the phone on March 31.
Specifications of Meizu E3
The Meizu E3 comes with a metal unibody design, the antenna bands are placed at the top and bottom edges of the back panel. The handset also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the right edge of the phone. The Power key is located above the fingerprint scanner while the volume keys are placed on the left side of the device.
The Meizu E3 features a 5.99-inch LTPS In-Cell display supports Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It also supports up to 85 percent NTSC color gamut.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 636 chipset with 6 GB of LPDRR4X. The handset comes in two storage variants- 64 GB and 128 GB. The Meizu E3 is packed with a 3,360mAh battery. The device introduced cold mCharge technology that offers 20W fast charging. It allows the handset to gain 53 percent of battery power in 30 minutes.
The Meizu E3 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat customized with Flyme 7 OS. It device also includes OneMind AI and game mode 2.0. The Meizu E3 include X12 LTE modem for high-speed 4G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0. USB-C, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G VoLTE, GLONASS, GPS, and A-GPS.
The Meizu E3 features a vertically stacked dual rear cameras setup that includes a dual pixel autofocus f/1.9 aperture 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 that has a pixel size of 1.4micron as the primary sensor and for the secondary sensor it has f/2.6 aperture 20-megapixel Sony IMX350. Both the lenses are protected by sapphire glass. The dual rear cameras feature dual-LED flash, 1.8x optical zoom, and 2.5x lossless zoom.
For selfie, it includes an 8-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera uses ArcSoft algorithm, which optimizes the skin tone while capturing selfie shots. The front camera also supports facial recognition feature.
Price and Availability according to different variants and Edition
The 64 GB storage + 6 GB RAM of Meizu E3 variant is priced at 1,799 Yuan (~$285) while the 128 GB storage + 6 GB RAM is priced at 1,999 Yuan (~$315). It handset will be available in three color options- blue, black and gold. The blue variant has a distinctive red colored Power key. Meizu is also selling a variety of Kumamon accessories for the Meizu E3. The entire set of accessories are priced at 599 Yuan (~$95).
The company has also launched a customized limited edition-Meizu E3 J-20 Collector’s Edition that features a sophisticated zinc alloy chassis. It also comes in two variants. The 64 GB storage + 6 GB RAM variant is priced at 1,999 Yuan (~$315) whereas the higher variant having 128 GB storage + 6 GB RAM costs at 2,499 Yuan (~$395). Meizu will be selling only 2,000 units of the Meizu E3 J-20 starting from April 9. The E3 J-20 comes with a customized J-20 case, a memorial card and SIM-eject pin.
