Redmi M100 Pro Officially Launched: MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra, 1.5K 120Hz Curved OLED, 50MP Sony OIS Camera, and IP68 Rating

Following earlier entries in its practical utility lineup, Xiaomi has officially unveiled a premium performance addition in China: the Redmi M100 Pro.

Blending flagship durability standards with upper-mid-tier internals, the handset bridges the gap between everyday endurance devices and high-end camera phones.

Priced in China at 2,499 yuan (~$345 USD / approx. ₹35,699) for the single 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, the Redmi M100 Pro packages high-end hardware into an ergonomic 8.24mm chassis.

The device features an expansive 6.67-inch 1.5K curved OLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 5,500mAh battery with 45W wired charging, and complete IP68 water and dust ingress protection.

Visuals: 6.67-Inch 1.5K 120Hz Curved OLED Canvas

The front panel is designed for vibrant multimedia playback and eye comfort:

• 1.5K Curved OLED Display: Boasting a resolution of 2712 × 1220 pixels, the 6.67-inch curved panel delivers sharp text, rich contrast, and support for 12-bit color depth (68 billion colors) alongside 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut coverage.
• 120Hz Refresh Rate & 3,000 Nits Peak Brightness: Supports smooth scrolling at up to 120Hz, while local HDR content can burst up to an impressive 3,000 nits of peak brightness, ensuring clear outdoor visibility in direct sunlight.
• Eye Care & Screen Armor: Equipped with 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming to eliminate perceptible screen flicker at lower brightness levels. The display is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for scratch and drop resistance and carries HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certifications.

Processing Core: MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra

Under the hood, the Redmi M100 Pro utilizes power-efficient 4nm silicon:

• MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra (4nm): Built on TSMC’s energy-efficient 4nm process node, the octa-core architecture incorporates four ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores running up to 2.5 GHz paired with four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores and a Mali-G615 GPU.
• Memory & Storage: Configured with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of onboard UFS 2.2 storage, ensuring responsive multitasking and app caching.
• Software Experience: Runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS platform out of the box, offering smooth window management, cross-device connectivity with Xiaomi tablets and laptops, and background optimization.

Optics: 50MP Sony LYT-600 Sensor with OIS

The camera array delivers versatile everyday imaging:

• 50MP Primary Camera (Sony LYT-600, f/1.5, OIS): The main camera uses a 1/1.96-inch sensor with optical image stabilization and a fast f/1.5 aperture 6P lens. Supporting 4-in-1 pixel binning for 1.6μm combined super-pixels, it captures sharp, low-noise photography in dim lighting.
• 8MP Ultra-Wide Angle Lens: Covers wide landscape vistas, architecture, and group compositions.
• 2MP Macro Sensor: Handles close-up focus shots of small subjects.
• 20MP Front Selfie Camera: Housed in a centered punch-hole cutout, supporting 1080p video recording, portrait mode, and facial biometric unlock.
• Advanced Imaging Suite: Includes Subject Tracking 2.0, dynamic photos, dual-view video recording, native film simulation filters, and dedicated night mode algorithms.

Power & Durability: 5,500mAh Battery & IP68 Certification

• 5,500mAh High-Density Battery: Delivers dependable all-day battery life, supporting extended social media browsing, streaming playback, and daily productivity without requiring midday top-ups.
• 45W Wired Fast Charging: Fast wired charging over USB Type-C tops up the 5,500mAh cell quickly and safely.
• IP68 Ingress Protection: Unlike many competitors in the mid-range bracket that settle for basic splash resistance, the phone is certified IP68 for dust and water resistance, protecting against complete immersion in freshwater.
• Chassis Dimensions & Audio: Measures 162.33 × 74.42 × 8.24 mm (the vegan leather PU finish measures slightly thicker at 8.46 mm) and weighs a balanced 190 grams. It includes dual stereo speakers, an X-axis linear vibration motor, an under-display optical fingerprint reader, multi-function NFC, and Xiaomi’s signature infrared (IR) blaster.
