Vivo has started rolling out the new OriginOS 6 update, based on Android 16 for the Vivo V30 smartphone.
V30 users are getting the update first through the OriginOS 6 trial program, with firmware version PD2323JF_EX_A_16.2.6.7.W30 and it will reach more users gradually. The update size is around 4.5GB so Vivo recommends downloading it over a stable Wi‑Fi connection.

To check for it, go to Settings > System update on your Vivo V30. If you don’t see it you can apply for the trial version via Settings > System update > gear icon > Trial version > Update now > Download and install. Make sure your phone is charged to at least 40% and back up important data before updating.
OriginOS 6 brings a fresh design, new icons, smoother animations, and more customization options compared to Funtouch OS. It also adds features like Origin Island for real-time info on the home screen, a redesigned Control Center, new clock styles, widgets, and improved security tools.
The Vivo V30 launched in 2024 with Android 14, and Android 16 could be its last major OS upgrade though it should still receive security updates for some time.
