Alongside the Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max smartphones, the Honor Band 4 and Honor Band 4 Running Edition fitness trackers has been also launched. The new Band 4 and Running edition will be available in the Chinese market from this week. The Honor Band 4 comes as a successor to Honor Band 3 from last year that was launched in India. So let’s take a look into the price and specifications of both variants.
Honor Band 4 and Honor Band 4 Running Edition price, availability
The Honor Band 4 will be available for purchase at CNY 199 (~Rs. 2,100). It will be available in Black, Blue, and Pink color options. On the other hand, the Band 4 Running Edition costs at CNY 99 yuan (~Rs. 1,000). It comes in Black, Blue, Green, Pink, Red, and Yellow color variant. Both devices will go on sale in China on September 20. Pre-booking is currently open so you can pre-book the Honor Band 4 and Honor Band 4 Running Edition via Vmall.
Honor Band 4 specifications
The Honor Band 4 features a 0.95-inch AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass. It is water resistant up to 50 meters. The fitness tracker comes with a circular Home button on the front. The Band 4 packs a 100mAh battery and Honor claim that it can offer a 6-day battery life with continuous heart rate measurement. The Band comes as the company’s first fitness tracker features a color display.
For connectivity, the Band 4 includes Bluetooth 4.2 and it can be paired with other smartphones using Huawei Health app. It has also NFC support for payments. Its water resistant level is up to 5ATM. Sensors on board it has a 6-axis gyroscope, PPG heart rate sensor, and an infrared sensor.
Additionally, the Band 4 comes with Huawei TruSleep 2.0 that uses the cardiopulmonary coupled dynamics spectrum. It monitors complete sleep structure including deep sleep (REM) to analyze sleep and offer personalized sleep recommendations. Since it also comes With the Huawei TruSeen 2.0 heart rate technology, the tracker is capable of 24-hour continuous heart monitoring when running, walking, cycling and more.
Honor Band 4 Running Edition specifications
The Running Edition is a toned down variant of Band 4. It features a PMOLED display. It doesn’t feature a colored display like Band 4. The Band 4 Running Edition also doesn’t offer a heart rate sensor and NFC support. It packs a smaller 77mAh battery with up to 12 days of working time.

However, the Running Edition features a 6-axis sensor that offers improved running detection. It is capable to measure cadence, step length, ground contact time, foot strike pattern, landing impact, eversion excursion, and swing angle. The Running Edition is also water resistant up to 50 meters.
