Lava Bold 2 5G launched in India with Dimensity 7060 Chipset

Lava has launched its new Bold 2 5G smartphone in India as a budget 5G option with a focus on display, clean software, and everyday performance.

The Lava Bold 2 5G comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming. Instead of a curved display like the previous model it uses a flatter 2.5D panel which helps reduce accidental touches and feels more practical in daily use. The phone also keeps an in-display fingerprint scanner for quick unlocking.

Inside, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset an upgrade over the Dimensity 6300 used earlier. It includes 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB storage, and offers up to 6GB virtual RAM expansion for better multitasking. Lava ships the device with Android 15 and promises a clean bloat-free software experience without unnecessary pre-installed apps.

For photos the Bold 2 5G features a 50MP main rear camera along with a secondary sensor for depth or macro shots. On the front there is an 8MP selfie camera which is actually a step down from the 16MP selfie camera on its predecessor.

The phone includes a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging which the company says should comfortably last a full day for most users. Despite the big battery the device stays relatively slim at 7.55mm and also offers IP64 dust and water resistance a feature still rare in this price segment.

Lava Bold 2 5G will be sold in Feather White and Midnight Black colors. The starting price is ₹12,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant (including bank offers and coupons), and sales begin on Amazon India from March 19. With its AMOLED display, clean Android, and capable mid-range chip. Lava is positioning the Bold 2 5G as a value-focused 5G phone that doesn’t push the price too high.
