Lenovo and Google had become a partner for two new virtual reality hardware products. They didn’t give any indication of launch date and suddenly company has started taking pre-orders for these devices. They only did announce a Q2 release for both devices.
These devices are based on Google’s new video format VR180. The Mirage Solo is the first Daydream headset that doesn’t require a connected smartphone, and the Mirage Camera is an “aim and shoots” VR camera. Now both devices are ready for Pre-Order. The Mirage Solo is priced at $399 and the Mirage Camera is priced at $299 according to B&H listing. These devices are expected to be available by May 11 but you can pre-order now.
The Mirage camera is for taking VR photos and it is capable to record 3D VR180 4K videos. It can also be used for live streaming.
The Mirage Solo is a powered by Snapdragon 835 processor. It comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB of onboard storage, 110-degree field of view LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, and up to seven hours of playing time on a single charge, and with a headphone jack. The device also comes with a Daydream remote.
