White Westinghouse Best Semi Automatic Top Loading Washing Machine | Available On Amazon
Best Semi Automatic Washing Machine: A few years back, White Westinghouse entered the Indian market with its washing machine. Earlier these were only available online but now the company has partnered with Walmart and has made them (Best Semi Automatic Washing Machine) available offline by launching 12 new models. This move of the company will not only increase the reach to more and more customers but also strengthen its presence in the market and challenge other competitors with full vigor. Brand head Pallavi Singh replied in a discussion:
Question 1: Ever since its launch in the Indian market, what are the changing trends seen by White Westinghouse in the washing machine segment?
Since the launch of the brand, we have seen consumers shift from washers to semi-automatic washing machines and from semi-auto machines to fully automatic. This can largely be attributed to the corona pandemic as domestic help was no longer readily available and people did not seek part-time help at home, if available. Machines that have longer durability and are easier to use are rather demanding than those that were previously built for rough and tough use as earlier only domestic help was using them.
Question 2: How much growth has the brand registered in the last year? What are its future projections?
The brand has registered a growth of 200% in the last year. We aim to capture a 7%-8% online market share and sell around 70,000 units per year.
Question 3: How has the washing machine market and demand changed during the pandemic and now?
As stated earlier, we see a shift towards up-gradation of machines as the consumer is now an end-user himself rather than domestic help. Semi-automatic washing machines (Best Semi Automatic Washing Machine) are more popular in tier 2 cities and fully automatic is preferred in tier 1 cities. The 6.5kg and 7.5kg SA washing machines are by far the biggest contributors. Eventually, fully auto machines will form a major part of the market, which will be closer to 45%.
Question 4: Have you noticed any interesting trends in consumer preferences in Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 cities?
We see that now even in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, a small customer base is willing to go for fully automatic machines, though a large chunk still opts for semi-automatic machines or washers.
Question 5: With low-cost brands like Candes launching their range of washing machines in fully automatic and semi-automatic, how do you see the competition?
We welcome competition in the affordable category segment as it has long been dominated by category A-brands, which capture 90% or more of the market share. With the advent of new brands, consumers will become more aware of the options available to them and may also be more inclined towards products made in India. There will also be a sense of value and consumers will get the right price for the right technology.
Question 6: What are the features that make the WWH washing machine a great choice?
Our front-load machines keep your clothes 99% germ-free through heat technology and the machine comes with 12 wash programs. The drums are diamond cut and have smart magic filters. Our semi-auto washing machine is made of strong and durable ABS material and has a collar scrubber. These machines have a 5-star BEE rating. We are also offering 2 years warranty on the product.
Question 7: Will the brand introduce some discounts and offers this festive season, what can buyers expect?
We will be offering certain discounts on the price and will also be offered bank offers, credit card offers, instant cashback, interest-free EMI schemes, and exchange programs to the customers.
Question 8: How much does your washing machine cost?
We have launched washing machines in the Indian market keeping in mind the common man. We have models available in India from Rs.6,990 to Rs.9,600. Soon we are also going to launch a fully automatic washing machine.
