MediaTek released the Helio P60 based on the 12nmFinFET process of TSMC on the MWC2018. The Snapdragon 855 is ready to build on a 7nm process.

According to industry sources, Qualcomm will upgrade its Snapdragon 600 series to the 10nm process and expected to launch in second half of this year. The Snapdragon 660, a 14nm chip is the most powerful SoC in the series now. The original Snapdragon 600 processor built on 28nm process.

The 10nm process will bring improvement in performance as well as low power consumption. The Snapdragon 670 will be one of the first chips in the 600 series which will on the 10nm process. It will be an octa-core chip in a 6+2 arrangement instead of 4+4. It will also use custom Kryo cores.

Qualcomm announced a new series the Snapdragon 700 instead of 670 which was rumored to be announced at MWC 2018.
