Vivo T5x 5G to Launch in India on March 17 with Class-Leading Performance and Battery

Vivo has officially announced that the Vivo T5x 5G will launch in India on March 17, 2026, at 12 PM IST, with the company marketing it as the “segment’s fastest” smartphone and the one with the “segment’s biggest battery.” The device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset which has reportedly crossed the one‑million mark on AnTuTu suggesting upper‑tier performance for its expected mid-range price band.

A key highlight of the T5x 5G is its massive 7,200mAh silicon‑carbon battery paired with 44W fast charging along with reverse wired charging and bypass charging features aimed at gamers and heavy users. Vivo is also emphasizing durability with the phone said to offer IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings making it more robust than typical budget 5G devices.

On the imaging side the Vivo T5x 5G is expected to feature a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary rear camera capable of 4K video recording, and a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls a notable upgrade over the 8MP selfie shooter in the previous Vivo T4x. The handset is slated to ship with Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box with Vivo reportedly promising two major Android version upgrades and four years of security updates positioning it as a longer-term option for buyers.

Although official pricing has not yet been revealed early indications suggest that Vivo will place the T5x 5G below ₹23,000 in India targeting value-conscious users who want strong performance, long battery life, and modern 5G connectivity. The phone is expected to be sold via Flipkart, Vivo’s official online store, and partner offline retailers across the country after its March 17 launch event.
