Nokia C20 Plus Review: The latest Android features update will be available for 2 years for Rs 8,999, the camera will disappoint.
Nokia C20 Plus Review
Nokia is one such brand that is constantly launching new phones in the budget category. HMD Global-owned Nokia launched its new handset Nokia C20 Plus in India last month. The company has introduced Nokia C20 Plus at a price of Rs 8,999. The new Nokia phone has been brought in that price category where there is the highest rate. We have been using this budget phone of Nokia for the last several days. Let us tell you (Nokia C20 Plus Review) what is special about this Nokia phone? Know all the pros and cons of the Nokia C20 Plus. Let’s review (Nokia C20 Plus Review) the phone.
Design and Build
Like other budget phones, the Nokia C20 Plus has been launched with a plastic unibody cover. The phone is a bit heavy and feels heavy in the hands. There is nothing new in its design and it gives the same look instead of other budget phones. A circular module has been given for the dual rear camera on the rear of the phone. There is a texture on the rear, due to which it fits snugly in the hands and does not slip. Due to its texture, it does not even leave fingerprints on it. The LED light has been given near the camera module on the rear of the phone. At the same time, the branding of Nokia can be seen in the middle.
Talking about the next part, this Nokia phone has four thick bezels and a wide chin at the bottom. There is also Nokia branding on this chin. The phone has a waterdrop notch at the top which houses the front camera. The smartphone has a headphone jack on the top edge while USB Type-C is provided on the bottom edge. The phone has power and volume on the right side while the SIM tray is available on the left.
Display
The Nokia C20 Plus has a 6.5-inch HD+ display. The color and brightness of the display can be said to be right in terms of price. The brightness of the display is as good as the Nokia G20. Using the HD + resolution display in direct sunlight is a bit difficult task.
Camera
A dual-camera setup has been given on the rear in Nokia C20 Plus. The phone has 8 megapixels primary and 2-megapixel depth sensor. LED flash is also available on the phone. Like any budget phone, this Nokia phone brings decent quality pictures in the light of day. Sharp details are available in these pictures but the colors remain dull. Talking about the photography experience indoors or at night, the camera here disappoints and takes a long time to focus. Let us tell you that the night mode is not given separately on the phone.
Overall, there is nothing special about the phone’s camera. The handset has a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies so that most of the time the colors do not remain original while taking selfies.
Performance
Nokia C20 Plus is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Unisoc SC9863A processor which is based on a 28nm manufacturing process. The phone has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB inbuilt storage. The handset comes with Android 11 Go Edition and lite versions of all the apps are available in it.
We have used 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant at the time of reviewing the phone, which costs Rs 9,999. We did not face any problem in using this variant. But if you look at the phones like Narzo 30A and Micromax in 2B present in the market, then this phone of Nokia lags behind in performance. Talking about gaming on the phone, this phone is not for gaming enthusiasts, but you can play games like Candy Crush. Heavy graphics games will not be fun to play on this phone.
Talking about the software, some bloatware is available with Android 11 Go Edition but you can enjoy the stock Android skin. The fingerprint sensor is not given in the phone but the face unlock feature works well.
The phone has a 5000mAh battery which is a good thing. The battery does not support fast charging but due to the well-optimized UI, the battery does not drain quickly and easily lasts up to 2 days. Overall, Nokia C20 Plus is a good option for everyday work or use as a secondary phone. There was no problem even in switching apps on the phone.
Nokia C20 Plus: Buy or Not?
As we told you that 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage of Nokia C20 Plus can be purchased for Rs 8,999 (Check Current Price and offer on Amazon) while 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant can be purchased for Rs 9,999 (Check Current Price and offer on Amazon). Jio users will also get a 10 percent discount on purchasing the Nokia C20 Plus. The phone can be taken in Blue and Gray colors. The company is also offering Jio benefits worth Rs 4,000. The special thing is that the phone comes with a 1-year replacement guarantee i.e. if the phone is damaged then you will get a new phone by replacing it.
Overall, if you want to take a big brand phone from 10 thousand rupees, Nokia C20 Plus can be taken. But if you want a good camera then don’t buy it. However, the Android update guarantee in the phone is its USP. With long battery life, Android 11, strong build quality, and a big display, this Nokia phone is not a perfect but great budget smartphone that can be thought of buying.
