Xiaomi has announced a detailed rollout roadmap for its new HyperOS 3.1 update confirming when a wide range of Xiaomi and Redmi phones and tablets will receive the software in China. The phased schedule starts immediately and stretches into late April ensuring that both the latest flagships and several older models are covered.
In the first wave, beginning today HyperOS 3.1 is rolling out to the Xiaomi 17 series phones select Xiaomi Pad 8 variants and the Redmi K90 lineup, giving Xiaomi’s newest hardware the earliest access to the update. By March 31 the rollout expands to include the Xiaomi 15 series, newer Xiaomi Pad 7 models, and mid‑range performance devices such as the Redmi K80 and Redmi Turbo 5 families.
A broader push follows by April 15, when Xiaomi plans to upgrade the Xiaomi 14 series its latest MIX Fold and Flip foldables, and multiple Redmi K70, Turbo 4, Redmi Note 15, and Redmi Pad 2 models, signaling a strong focus on both premium and upper mid‑range devices. The final wave scheduled to complete by April 23 targets older but still popular flagships like the Xiaomi 13 series and MIX Fold 3 along with several Redmi K60, Redmi Note 14/13, Redmi 14/15R 5G, and Redmi Pad Pro variants.
HyperOS 3.1 brings a faster more efficient “Super OTA” mechanism that significantly speeds up the update process while reducing downtime during installation. It also refines the user interface with smoother animations, updated system apps, and better accessibility options while under‑the‑hood optimizations aim to deliver improved performance, stability, and responsiveness across everyday tasks and gaming.
Although this roadmap focuses on the Chinese market, Xiaomi has confirmed that HyperOS 3.1 will also reach global devices with an international rollout plan expected to be announced later this month. For now users outside China can use this domestic timeline as an indication of which models are prioritized but exact global dates may differ by region and carrier.
